Winternights is het initiatief van SoAP (Space oriented Artistic Practice), VIA ZUID talentontwikkeling in de podiumkunsten Limburg en het Belgische C-TAKT. Het festival presenteert ‘onaffe’ projecten van a-typische makers, kunstenaars wiens werk zich niet zomaar laat vatten in geijkte disciplines. Dit zijn choreografen, theatermakers, performers, componisten, filmmakers en beeldend kunstenaars. Via gedurfde projecten proberen zij een nieuwe vormentaal te ontwikkelen waarbij de schotten worden opgeheven tussen performance, installatiekunst, dans en theater.
Beloftevolle makers
Winternights is een bijzonder experiment en avontuur, voor zowel makers, het publiek als professionals. Het publiek en professionals (programmeurs, dramaturgen) krijgen de kans als eerste kennis te maken met nieuwe namen en ideeën. Makers krijgen de ruimte nieuw werk te laten zien en in contact te komen met publiek, professionals en elkaar. De makers zijn geselecteerd door SoAP, VIA ZUID, C-TAKT en hun partners.

Winternights is het gezamenlijk initiatief van SoAP en VIA ZUID, gestart in 2016. Productiehuis SoAP produceert nieuwe en oorspronkelijke ervaringskunst met hoge kwaliteit van de autonome maker. VIA ZUID, talentontwikkeling in de podiumkunsten, in en vanuit Limburg. Vanaf 2018 participeert C-TAKT, een kunstenwerkplaats met een focus op transdisciplinair talent, als vaste, inhoudelijk partner.

Winternights is the initiative of SoAP (Space oriented Artistic Practice), VIA ZUID talent development in the performing arts Limburg and the Belgian C-TAKT. The festival presents 'unfinished' projects by atypical makers, artists whose work can not simply be captured by the well-known disciplines. These are choreographers, theater makers, performers, composers, filmmakers and visual artists. Through daring projects they try to develop a new language of form in which the baffles are lifted between performance, installation art, dance and theater.
Promising Makers
Winternights is a special experiment and adventure for creators, the public and professionals. The public and professionals (programmers, dramaturges) are the first to get acquainted with new names and ideas. Creators are given the opportunity to show new work and to get in touch with the public, professionals and each other. The makers have been selected by SoAP, VIA ZUID, C-TAKT and their partners.
Initiators
Winternights is the joint initiative of SoAP and VIA ZUID, started in 2016. Production house SoAP produces new and original experience art with high quality from the autonomous maker. VIA ZUID, talent development in the performing arts, in and from Limburg. From 2018, C-TAKT, an arts workspace with a focus on transdisciplinary talent, will participate as a permanent, substantive partner.
