Na de succesvolle eerste editie van WINTERNIGHTS in 2016 sloegen SoAP en VIA ZUID in 2017 opnieuw de handen ineen om de tweede editie van het festival te organiseren. Van SoAP werd ‘facing faces’ van Rita Hoofwijk uitgevoerd. SALLY Dansgezelschap Maastricht presenteerde twee voorstellingen en FASHIONCLASH vertoonde een aantal films die op 4 november in première gingen tijdens het Fashion Film Festival Maastricht. De eerste dag van het festival was gevuld met besloten netwerksessies en workshops voor de makers van SoAP en VIA ZUID en professionals uit de sector.
Tijdens WINTERNIGHTS 2017 werd voor de eerste keer de Edmond Hustinx Stimulans-prijs uitgereikt aan drie veelbelovende starters uit de kunstenaarswereld. De winnaars ontvinggen ieder een bedrag van € 2500 waarmee ze hun creatieve ideeën verder kunnen ontwikkelen en realiseren.

After the successful first edition of WINTERNIGHTS in 2016, SoAP and VIA ZUID joined forces again in 2017 to organize the second edition of the festival. From SoAP, 'facing faces' by Rita Hoofwijk were executed. SALLY Dance Company Maastricht presented two performances and FASHIONCLASH screened a number of films that premiered on November 4 during the Fashion Film Festival Maastricht. The first day of the festival was filled with private networking sessions and workshops for the makers of SoAP and VIA ZUID and professionals from the sector.
During WINTERNIGHTS 2017, the Edmond Hustinx Stimulans Prize was awarded for the first time to three promising starters from the artist world. The winners each received an amount of € 2,500 with which they can further develop and realize their creative ideas.
