All Night Long is een nieuw, grensverleggend project van Festival Musica Sacra Maastricht en Via Zuid. Het brengt studenten van het Conservatorium Maastricht en de Toneelacademie Maastricht samen in een intensief creatief traject, waarin muziek, theater en interdisciplinair onderzoek elkaar ontmoeten.

De aftrap vindt plaats tijdens Musica Sacra 2025, waar de studenten gezamenlijk het concert Mozart y Mambo van Sarah Willis en het Havana Lyceum Orchestra bijwonen. Een ontmoeting tussen Mozart en Cubaanse tradities vormt de inspiratiebron: wat gebeurt er als verschillende werelden elkaar raken, en hoe vertaal je dat naar nieuwe kunstvormen?

Onder begeleiding van experts verdiepen de studenten zich in thema’s als intercultureel werken, muziekdramaturgie en durational aesthetics. De opgedane inspiratie mondt uit in een unieke performance tijdens Winternights Festival 2025.

In de zalen en gangen van Radium ontstaat een nachtelijke totaalervaring: van experiment tot verstilling, tot (half)slaap. 

All Night Long wordt mogelijk gemaakt door een aanvullende projectsubsidie van de gemeente Maastricht.

All Night Long is a new, groundbreaking project by Festival Musica Sacra Maastricht and Via Zuid. It brings together students from the Maastricht Conservatory and the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts in an intensive creative program that combines music, theater, and interdisciplinary research.

The project kicks off during Musica Sacra 2025, where the students will jointly attend the concert Mozart y Mambo by Sarah Willis and the Havana Lyceum Orchestra. A meeting between Mozart and Cuban traditions serves as the inspiration: what happens when different worlds collide, and how do you translate that into new art forms?

Under the guidance of experts, the students will explore themes such as intercultural work, music dramaturgy, and durational aesthetics. The resulting inspiration will culminate in a unique performance during Winternights Festival 2025.

In the halls and corridors of Radium, a comprehensive nocturnal experience unfolds: from experiment to tranquility, to (half)sleep.
